EPW - Jean Robert, Soret, verge fusee, 40mm, 18K gold (tested) OF original pair cases with consular style inner, outer case with floral multicolor gold accents around the sides and enamel portrait on rear of young woman holding a cat, case bezel and back with rose cut glass borders and also with a blue enamel border on rear, KWKS, WED, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced & engraved foliate scrolled balance cock with grotesque mask at its neck, ruby endstone, s#22472. Gross weight of assembled watch 44.4 dwt (69.7 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticks temporarily and stops, will require full overhaul to run with any regularity, good balance motion, good escapement function, excellent plus mvt condition overall, bright gilt plates with some FS, regulator wheel with some FS; dial with only pinpoint light spots from imperfections in the original firing; minute hand is missing one of the glass set petals at its center, hands otherwise excellent; outer case shows very little wear, patina with a dulled tone, front bezel missing three of the glass rose cuts, rear with some chipping to the blue enamel border, no dents or dings; excellent button latch set with a rose cut glass; inner case shows little wear, profuse MFS, a crease type dent running the side perimeter from 3 to 9, other small dings along that area; original tight gold bow & pendant; scratched domed glass crystal.
